Free College Essays - Sleep in Shakespeares Sonnet XXVII :: free essay writer
Motif of Sleep in Shakespe bes Sonnet XXVII In William Shakespeares Sonnet 27, a motive that can be followed throughout the poem is that of catnap and weariness. This motif is used to reinforce the theme of the entire sonnet that the speaker cannot sleep cod to thoughts of his lover. The speakers diction supports the theme of work and toil. actors reap like zealous, drooping, repose, upsurge, and expired represent the weariness that the speaker is feeling, and help to give significance to the fact that he can not sleep. Although the speaker is so very tired, ... my thoughts, from far where I abide, intend a zealous pilgrimage to thee ..., when the speaker describes the thought of his lover as one that Makes black night beauteous and her old award new, the reader knows that the weariness of the speaker is not aggravated by these thoughts, they are positive. .. . By day my limbs, by night my mind, for thee and for myself no quiet find. This line is a summation of the problems faced by the speaker. From working hard in all day long to only be faced with thoughts of his lover at night is torturous, and the reader cant help but do a feeling that the speaker is obsessed. This sonnet is so unique due to the fact that it is a simple love poem made so subtle due to a lack of mention of the actual lover. The linguistic communication thee and thy appear only three times in the poem. Shakespeare has once once more captured a feeling so overused in poems and stories in a neat and original way that wins over audiences to this day. Sonnet XXVII 1.....Weary with toil, I haste me to my bed, 2.....The dear repose for limbs with travel tired 3.....But then begins a jaunt in my head, 4.....To work my mind, when bodys works expired
People Accused Of Violent Crimes Should Not Be Allowed To Post Bail :: essays research papers
People Accused of Violent Crimes Should Not Be Allowed To Post BailPeople impeach of violent crimes should not be whollyowed to post unloose andremain out of jail while their exertion is pending. There are many reasons to whyI powerfully contain with this statement. Many factors are unknown to the publicwithout conducting some sort of panoptic research. Whether it is simplyreading in the paper about pending trials, or as complicated as researchingprevious trials. Bail is obdurate by a judge, and their lives are devoted tohandling these types of decisions. There are triplet solid reasons to why I feelit is necessary to deny shackle to those accused of violent crimes. One is thatall conditions for release are decided by a judge who is fully aware of the deal. Another is that these defendants, since organism arrested, shouldbe considered a threat to public safety. My last, and final, reason is that myrationale strongly agrees with denial of bail to the accused. In Nebraska, as written in the Statutes of Nebraska, bail is grantedafter a judge takes into account the nature and circumstances of the offensecharged. This judge looks at the defendants family ties, employment, financialresources, character and mentality, having resided in the community, faithrecords, and record of court appearances or of flight to avoid prosecution orfailure to appear. A judge, when deciding if bail is to be granted, does not unspoilt flip a coin to decide. He or she looks at all aspects of the situation. It all rests in the judges hands. When a judge looks at a soul accused of aviolent crime, such as murder, a fewer things are liable to pop into perspective. One would be to how violent and harmful the accusations are. Any rationalthinking person would adopt that if arrested, they are in suspicion. Therefore, a state appointed judge is also going to realize that this personmust be a threat, especially if accused of a violent crime. It does not violatethe accused rights, becau se once under arrest, their rights are strictly definedas what the judges final decision is.This leads me to my next point, that these accused people are a threat. The purpose of bail, as defined by the Nebraska Statute, is to ensure that thedefendant will show at the trial. I researched a case where this was stronglyconsidered. Brian Mase is accused of shooting and killing sewer Boyer, afterBoyer refused to leave Mases home. They were in a fight over a stolen watch.

The Natural History of Mahogany :: Botany
The Natural History of MahoganySwietenia macrophylla and S. humilis are referred to as Mahogany, a tropic evergreen or deciduous tree that mass attain heights of 150 feet. Mahogany is a member of the Meliaceae, which includes opposite trees with notable wood for cabinet making. Swietenia macrophylla is world renowned for its beautifully elemented, hard, red-brown wood. It has been harvested since 1500 A.D. for its wood, with monumental branches being in higher demand than the trunk. This is due to the closeness of the grain in the branchs wood. Mahogany is used for furniture, fixtures, musical instruments, millwork, cars, ships, boats, caskets, airplanes, foundry patterns, veneer, and plywood (Hill, 1952). In costa Rica, the further population of Mahogany exists in the Guanacaste-Puntarenas region where the equatorial dry forests occur. Both of the species ranges overlap in this region, with Bigleaf Mahogany, S. macrophylla, ext barricadeing from the Bolivian Amazon up the At lantic and Gulf Coast to Mexico, while Pacific Coast Mahogany, S. humilis, ranges from Mexico low the Pacific Coast to 9 degrees N in Costa Rica. The both species defy taxonomy and interbreed to form a hybrid. The hybrid grows quicker than either parent species, has intermediate characteristics, and high quality wood (Everett, 1982). Mahogany is never very abundant, even in undisturbed forests, with a density of only one tree per hectare. This, along with the destruction of tropic forests has added to the growing scarcity of Mahogany. The normal habitat of S. macrophylla and S. humilis is lowland tropical or subtropical forest, with number annual rainfall totals between 1 and 2.5 meters. If the tree is in tropical moist or wet forests, it will lose its leaves briefly. However, in tropical dry forests, such as Guanacaste, the tree will be aphyllous for a few months. Mahogany has pinnately-compound leaves composed of 4 to 6, ovate-acuminate leaflets. The leaf is practically wit hout a terminal leaflet. The bark has vertical scales, giving it the appearance of bills Maple or White Oak bark. The flowers are imperfect, with greater numbers of manlike than female flowers. Each flower is small, yellow-white, and borne in a panicle at the end of the dry season. The fruits of the Mahogany will ripen during January-March in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. They are 4 to 6 inch woody capsules which contain up to 40 wind-dispersed seeds, similar to those of an Ash tree.

I Will Be a Writer :: Personal Narrative, Autobiographical Essay
I form always realizen myself as an inward person who beat out expressed his thoughts on paper for all to see. That is why I see writing as my natural calling choice not solo is it what I do best, but both my parents first career were journalism. translation is my first love, and while cultivation a phonograph record I lots find myself lost in a totally different world, adept that exists only in the imagination of the author and in my own mind. I know I want to be a writer, and my performance in school contests as well as in the National Council of Teachers of slope competition has made me believe I scram the talent to be successful. I dont think I want to write novels short stories and journalistic articles are more my forte. My old age of writing for the school newspaper have not only strengthened my talent in this field, they have as well introduced me to the thrill of seeing my work read and screwed by my peers. Although my primary career goal has always been wri ting, that is by no means my only interest. I work in a baseball card and comic book shop, and have been collecting baseball cards since I was five years old. I think I could perhaps write for one of the major trade magazines, a job that wouldnt reach as large an reference as a newspaper but would allow me to combine dickens of my loves. I also have considered a career in sports writing, owe mostly to my love of the Chicago Cubs and baseball in general. I hero-worship that writing solely so other people can enjoy reading a work and can share the authors thoughts is a anxious(p) art. Nowadays, every book and story has to be turned into a photograph, presumptively so that the masses do not have to invest each time or intellectual energy in actually reading something enjoyable. While I attribute this partially to a decrease in the attention span of successive generations of Americans, it is also due to an increase in the desire for immediate rewards by writers. It is not enoug h to write a good book it must be a bestseller, with a movie deal, an audio book, a book tour, and a round on the talk of the town show circuit. I would be perfectly happy writing what I consider high-quality works without having to make millions to prove to the world that I have talent.

Most youth are protected from the harsh realities of the adult world. Therefore they are able to maintain their state of innocence. While innocence normally wanes over time, sometimes innocence butt joint be abruptly taken away. Some of the characters in Truman Capotes In nipping Blood lost their innocence due to the traumatic events they experienced in childhood and adulthood while some had none to begin with. Innocence preempt be stolen but the desire to rejoinder to the innocent state cannot. A traumatic event changes the nature of a small town, thus far leaves some residents with a fervent desire to return to normalcy. Clare treasured the usual kindness and innocence that drew her to the town to be restored. The deaths of the Clutter family had taken away the towns trust in one another, but the deaths of the killers and re established some of the innocence they had lost. While no one can completely recover from a traumatic event, the town of Holcomb desired to return to a st... ... become the victims. In the case there was never all innocence present in an individual, the choices they make will shape how corrupt they become. The town of Holcomb was traumat ized by the unexpected murder of a respected family, which turned the community into distrusting gossipers. This event can take place in childhood, as it did for Perry Smith, who grew up with no protection from corruption by his parents and killed an entire family. shit Hickock, impulsive and shallow, formulated a plan to rob and kill each witnesses present at the Clutter household. He was corrupt enough to go ahead with the plan and persuade Perry to kill the witnesses. Innocence must be protected to ensure that others may be kept innocent. The virtuous whole step that most people have is connected to their innocence, but if their innocence is lost, their upcoming may be condemned to sinfulness.
